Society Board: ArabTRUST Vice-Chairman - Christopher Bennison

Chris first attended Tannadice in January of 1987 for a Scottish Cup game against Airdrie.

Beating Barcelona home and away, Borussia Monchengladbach, a Scottish Cup Final, a UEFA Cup Final, players such as Narey, Sturrock, Malpas, Hegarty, Holt, Kirkwood, Bowman, Bannon, Redford and Clark....in his first season as an Arab, 7 year old Master Bennison assumed that this was the norm!

Leaving the '87 Cup Final at Hampden Park choking back tears would not be the first time Chris displayed a deep passion for United running right through to present day.

Chris was a Radio Presenter and Nightclub DJ before the 10 year nocturnal, lethargic lifestyle left him wanting a complete change. He took a 'real job' with BT as a Live Chat Broadband Technician.

Chris first became an active member of ArabTRUST in May 2008 when he DJd at the 'We Won The League At Dens' 25th anniversary event. He was elected to ArabTRUST's Board in February 2009, overseeing Press and Communications.

He's also been known to dabble in the Merchandise side of ArabTRUST and often works in the Tannadice Tangerine Trading Posts.

Chris represented ArabTRUST at Hampden Park following an invitation to meet with SPL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster to discuss proposals for league reconstruction in January 2011.

He's helped and consulted for a major charity online and advertisitng campaign as well as lending a hand with the social networking for other good causes.

He went on to be ArabTRUST Acting-Chairman in June 2011 before being elected Vice-Chairman in September 2011.

Chris spends his free time with girlfriend Joanna and is a proud father to 9 year old Evie. He prefers to read rather than watch TV, loves to indulge his lifelong passion for music (he claims to be a Beatles 'expert') and spends a lot of time daydreaming about United!
